Not off the top of my head, email Tomtom, maybe the update has fried your TT and you will be needing a replacement.

The original files are on the CD u should have.

Dear spireman
I've had exactly the same problem as you. I emailed tomtom and their reply was to transfer the backup file to the sd card. I'm not great with computers so I tried reinstalling the backed up card files but it still won't work. Have again emailed tomtom and am waiting for reply. Have you had any joy yet? I've only had the go a few weeks and now I can't use it.

Success! Have restored my card to version 5.0. I achieved this by deleting everything from the card (very scary) then copying and pasting from the original saved files on my desktop. Before I try this upgrade again I'm going to buy a blank 256 mb card and try to transfer files on to that first. That way I'll still have the original card to fall back on. By the way, if all else had failed, Tom Tom offered to repair my card - but for 25 euros.

yeah format the card

my computer -> locate the tomtom SD card normaly under removable storage -> right click and select format. Be very careful that you are formating the right drive or you could format you hard drive. Then drag and drop the files back onto the SD card.
