Question I'm in the fields

Having just purchased my tom tom go 300 and travelling on the new A1 bypass near Fairburn I find my location is shown in the fields with the tom tom telling me to go next right/next left in fact any direction to get me on the so called course. Also happens at the new Robin Hood airport, whats happening?

The GPS position is not accurate enough at those points to determine you location well enough. Go into the GPS page when this happens and see how many satellites you have a fx with, it will probably only be a few at the most.

Could it not be that the maps are not up to date and the road that you are traveeling on is therefore not recognised?
