Unhappy TTG 500 - Mobile Phone compatibility

Not sure if anyone can help on this as I know the 500 is brand new and therfore not known technically yet. Anyway I bought one from Currys yesterday (and they gave me the £25 off as you get if you order online) and set it all up with relative ease.
However when pairing it with my Bluetooth phone (SAMSUNG D500) it went through the implmentation / set up process ok but once finsihed the unit tells you that not all of the TOm TOM GO's features are supported by the phone. It actually lists the D500 as a ohone in its directory to pick from so I am a bit surprised by the non compatibility, especially as the D500 is fairly new / state of the art.
So I can now accept incoming calls handsfree with the number being displayed and can alos palce calls be manually inputting a number via the TOm TOM screen. Conerstaions are also fin with good clarity at bnoth ends of the call.

But the TOm TOm wont let me:

1) Read any SMS messages in my phones inbox / outbox
2) Compose a new sms
3) Dial a contact from my phones sim / phone memory
4) Import my phones address book to the TOm TOM

Clearly all of the above features were an important part of my opting for the 5TTG 500 instead ofthe 300 and I am dissapointed that they dont work.

Questions is am I doing something wrong? Can either the TTG software or my SAmsung mobile software be updated so that these features will work> Or is the samsung just not comaptible end of????
If so does anyone know which mobiles support all the TTG features inc SMS etc? I also have a Motororola V600 and an (old) Sony ercison T610 that I could use 'in car' instead of my SAmsung event though it would mean keep switching SIM cards.

Any adivce approeciated.

Thanks.
