Default Format new card

Is it possible that formatting a new sd card for TTG via a PC could be the wrong Format ? First I copied everything from my old card to the new one then after powering up my TTG it came up with the message "no maps found" I read a few posts here then decided to try to format the card on the pc via USB after that I then re copied all the data. Now although the data is showing on the card via the PC the TTG display shows a red cross over the SD card. Is this reversable ?
Any help or advice much appreciated.
Chris.

Found the answer thanks to Hunter Hills - I just re installed the S/W from the TTG cdrom.
Cheers.
