Go 500. Missing out junctions on motorways

Hi everyone from a first timer.
I Recently recieved a G500 for a present and am mostly pleased with it. However, when using the avoid part of route facility i was dissapointed to find i could not omit the junctions i would like to avoid on the motorways. It only allows me to delete the whole of the motorway, which is not what i want. Can anyone help?
