SD card compatabillity

Hi
does anyone know of a patch or download I can use to fomatt an SD card for my tom-tom go 300 or do I need to buy one with software already installed, I have done everything suggested on my previous thread but still getting the red cross on the card.

I recently formatted a SD card used in my Ipaq with TomTom navigator 3. I used a multi-card USB reader connected to my PC, then copied my French maps to it. No problems.

Obviously, I cannot comment about this method for a TomTom 300, but would think it should work.

thanks will buy a multi card reader and try always handy anyway
