Default Problem With Gps Signals

Hi I have just upgraded to version 5.4 and since then I lose my GPS signal after about 30 minutes. I do drive a Citroen and have an external aerial, I have inspected the wiring and can see no obvious breaks or snags. When I take the unit out of the car it does re-gain the signal. Anyone got any ideas please?

where is the external antenna? Try using the GPS outside the car and see if the signal improves.

Angry Loss Of Gps Signal

Hi Stevie.

The antenna is situated at the rear of the car on the roof, with the wiring fed through the trim of the car. The Tom Tom actually sits in the holder on the screen. he system has worked wonderfully since July when I purchase the external antenna. I have tested the TomTom in my wifes car that does not require an external aerial, this works fine. The strange thing is this has only happened since I downloaded version 5.4. The other strange thing is that the unit works fine for about half an hour and then loses the GPS signal. I have stood outside the car with the unit in my hand and all is ok!

Dave

Will give it a try, but not too optimistic, thanks for your reply though.
