TT500 Blank Screen

Hi

hope someone can help.
Used the Tom Tom for a drive out no problems. When I turned it on for the drive home .... nothing. just a blank screen. Put it in the cradle to charge - green light came on but blank screen remained, tried switching it on nothing.
got it in the mains now, green light on but blank screen. I have tried connecting it to the PC but it's not recognising (further confirmation that it's not on).

I may have accidently left it on when we arrived at our destination would a fully drained battery do this?
What would anyone advice be about pressing the reset button?

pressing the reset button will restore the go to the factory setting it will not do any other damage to it, try it and see if it brings it back to life.

the reset worked and it seems to have remembered all my settings which is a bonus
