Default Permanent Docking Kit and external microphone

Hi all,

I own a GO 700 and have a couple of questions about the Permanent Docking Kit.
First of all, can anyone please tell me whether the permanent docking kit has a microphone connector or not?
The permanent docking kit I've seen at my local store does NOT have a connector for the mic, while I've read messages where some people say they're using the permanent docking kit and external mic together.
Where do you connect the mic while using the docking kit? Are there two different models of this docking kit, one with and one without the microphone connector?

Second question
I read some past messages where some users complained about audio problems related to the permanent docking kit.
I'm not going to use the Tomtom as handsfree set since I already have a dedicated handsfree phone set, so I'm only concerned about possible vocal instructions problems (crackle etc...).
Is there any problem with this kit now? I have just updated my Tomtom unit to the latest software version.

Thanks in advance
Nick
