Default TomTom Go 910 - Help / Advice Request

Recently purchased TT Go 910 after using a PDA version for many years....

Can anyone help me on the following points:

When the TT is connected to the external Microphone supplied by TT my Voice Guided Instructions are muted although I am not actually making or receiving a call ...is this correct...?

Can it be rectified and if so how....?

Do i need to use the External Microphone because when I try to use the Internal Microphone the person I am speaking to cannot hear me....although I can hear them clearly....

Again can this be rectified...?

And if so how...?

I think when your in a call you can change the volume settings.

The volume settings in a call are differnt to the standard volume settings on the device.

Silly question but just to be sure are you plugging the MIC into the mic socket instead of the speaker socket? They are beside each other.

Like you, I've upgraded to a 910 after using a PDA with TomTom.

I found that I had to use the external microphone for people to hear me - and even then it's not perfect. In fact I've dumped using it altogether and have reverted back to a bluetooth headset and just use the phone to update the traffic.

I can't say I've found the voice instructions muted with the mic plugged in - as Charlie says - check your socket.

hth

Thanks for the Info.....

Spoke directly to TomTom yesterday....made a couple of adjustments and all is working as I had anticipated

1 No need for the external microphone as internal one is now working correctly.

2 Now receiving voice guided messages when on standby.

And my first thoughts are that the 910 is a nice bit of kit....
