I have a tomtom GO 510 my dad has a GO 300 can I make a copy of my sd card and load it in to his unit so he gets the european road maps?

No. Each map has an activtion code. If you did his, you would loose the ability to use those maps on your unit.

Besides which the software's different, and so the maps aren't compatable.
