RDS-TMC Problems

Hi all, just purchased the G0510 traffic c/w TMC module and what a nightmare, driven all over the UK and it appears to only work around oxfordshire. It's always tuning ? Spoke with tomtom and they say tune to the classic fm frequency,but still no joy.

Anyone had similar problems, any advice on best mounting location in screen or frequency to tune.

I have exactly the same problem on my TOMtom 910. I only get reception around Birmingham and Oxford. Tom Tom tech support just ignore my requests for help on the subject. Problem is obvously signal strength getting though to the unit. I have just noticed another thread talking about faulty mounts - I wonder if that may explain it.
