Question Update too big for TomTom Go 300

Hi,
I'm trying to help a friend with his TomTom Go 300. I've connected it with my PC and am using the TOMTOM HOME software. The update available is TomTom application for Go, ONE and RIDER (6.520) it is 8MB in size but it won't update the TomTom because it only has 1.4MB space left. I've searched for an answer to this but to no avail. Why give an update that is too big? Am I missing something? Can anyone help? I'd be extremely grateful. Many thanks. Greg

You can use tomtom home to remove any uneccessary files such as foreign languages or voices. Theres normally over 10mb free so you might have added some stuff in the past.
Make sure you use tomtom home to do a full backup first.

Plus you could always buy a bigger card they are very cheap these days.

Thank you Martin. The card is now replaced with a larger one.
Cheers

Hi, I'm having the same problem with my 710, I've put a 2gb card in and copied all the files from the computer using tomtom home. When I start the tomtom i'm asked for an activation code. When I input the code generated on www.tt.com i'm told it's an incorrect code.

Can anybody explain?
