GO 300 updates

A friend has a TomTom GO 300 which is about two years old and so must need updating.
When I connect it to the net via TomTom Home it offers to sell GB map 6.05. However that's the version already installed. Does this mean that they've stopped providing updated maps for the GO 300?
I can't find Map Share on the GO 300's menus – on my One it's easy to find – doesn't the GO 300 use Map Share?

Home offered to download a later version of the application (ver 6.520 replacing 5.410) but the installation failed through lack of free memory. I'm worried about deleting her existing app. even though I backed it up.

I'd be grateful for any advice, particularly about updating the map as she has found definite errors.

Map share is only available on v7 (which the ONE v3 has).

In order to update, you'd need to copy ALL data (including hidden data) on the SD card to a bigger card. Then update the software and buy the newer maps through the home application.

Remember to do a backup using HOME first!!!!!!!
