Go 710 Resets after PC connection

We have a Tomtom Go 710 that resets its settings after every time that it is docked with a PC. We have had this device since new, for just over a year, and have also just upgraded it to V7.162 but still get the same problem and we have just updated the TomTom Home software to V2.1. (All latest versions)

What happens is that when the device is undocked from the PC, it asks for country, language and voice information to be re-input. The PC is not the problem as this has also happened on two different PCs.

Has anyone else experienced this kind of problem?
