Go520 will only charge from dock or mains power

Hi

Anyone aware of problems with the car charger / go520?

Out of the box, mine will not charge on the supplied car charger. it charges fine on the supplied dock, connected to my USB port.

I went to Halfords and tried it with a home (mains) charger and it worked fine. I purchased a second car charger for it but it will not charge from that either!

This was a mail order purchase. I now expect to do battle with the retailer who will undoubtedly try to wash his hands of it.

The unit otherwise works fine.
