GO520 - saving a route with 'travel via' option

My partner is travelling from East Leake near Nottingham to Skegness. She wants to go a certain way and I can't for the life of me input a pre programmed route into my TomTom. Can I save a route that travels via certain points on a map?

The route the TomTom comes up with when asked takes you through Leicester or to far north. I know you can program it at the start of a journey to go via certain points but I'd like to pre program it so all she needs to do is call up the saved route.

Advanced planning should let you save a route and set waypoints on the route.

I can see prepare route but where is advanced planning?

Set start point, then for the destination you should be able to set a travel via, THEN set the destination.
