Question TopmTom mobile on Nokia 6630 smartphone - no GPS signal

I have loaded TomTom Mobile onto my phone and have a BT GPS which I connect in the manager but the phone cannot seem to recognize the transmitter and keeps saying there is no signal. I am a bit of a novice with this techy stuff ios there something I need to setup to get the GPS to be recognized. Thanks for your advice!

turn on gps first then turn on tomtom ,go to change preferences then click on show gps status ,now click on configure choose other bluetooth gps that should be it done sometimes takes a few tries but it works for me

Thanks for the suggestion - but still can't seem to get it to work. On the configure scree there are rows of columns which randomly get shaded but sill says no valid GPS signal ...what is supposed to happen? Sorry for being thick but I am not sure what is meant to happen????

the rows should turn blue when connected , sometimes takes a few tries but make sure your doing it outdoors

WHEN YOU FIRST LINK YOUR PHONE WITH YOUR PHONE YOU HAVE TO BE OUT SIDE WITH YOU BT BLUETOOTHE GPS RECEIVER SOUTH FACING AND WAIT TILL YOUR BT PICKS THE SATALITE UP PRESS TOM TOM AND AFTER YOU PRESS THE AGREE BUTTON YOU WILL GO TO THE SECTION WERE YOU CAN PLAN YOUR JOURNEY ECT PRESS 1 ON YOUR MOBILE PHONE AND A GPS GRID SHOULD COME UP LIKE A GRAPH AS YOUR BT PICKS UP SATERLITES THESE WILL BEGIN TO GO UP AND DOWN ONCE YOU HAVE PICKED UP ALL THE SATERLITES REQUIRED TO RUN THE TOM TOM SOFTWARE IT WILL LOCK AND YOU CAN SAVE THE SETTINGS YOU WILL ONLY HAVE TO DO THIS ONCE IT WILL ASK YOU DO YOU WANT IT TO CONNECT AUTO SAY YES HAVE FUN THANKS TAZ.
