Angry Regular Question - Any Answers?

I've seen variations of this question all over these forums, but I've still to find an answer, so here goes...

I had an iPaq 3970 with TomTom 5 and a wired TomTom GPS receiver that worked near perfectly, and then decided to combine my mobile phone and PDA by upgrading to an XDAIIi from O2.

I now have an O2 XDAIIi with TomTom 5 and a wired TomTom GPS receiver that doesn't work. The software has been installed several times, I've changed my device with TomTom and they've reset my account, and I've replaced my TomTom wired GPS receiver because the green LED stopped working and my device reported 'No GPS device'. The new receiver shows a green flashing LED which very soon changes to a steady green, but my device still reports 'No GPS device'. I've also changed the cradle to one specificlly for TomTom and the XDAIIi.

I'm getting irritable and a bit grumpy, and TomTom's website keeps reporting an error when I use their support site. At this rate I'll never find my way home :-(

Can somebode please give me the definitive answer to this problem - and while I'm waiting for the knowledge to spill forth, I'll hard reset my device and start all over again.

Thanks in advance!

Peter

Tap on START --> SETTINGS --> CONNECTIONS --> BEAM and untick the box. Reset your PDA and then try using TomTom. Ensure that its set to use the TomTom cabled receiver.

Ah. P'raps I should have checked the PDA fitted the cradle properly - which in this case it didn't.

Poo.

Thanks anyway.
