Problem configuring GPS on smartphone

I am using an ipaq514 smartphone with TomTom 5 Mobile in combination with a real TomTom Bluetooth GPS receiever without any problem.

Recently I purchased another GPS Bluetooth receiver (Holux M1200) and can't get it configured to work with TomTom5.

It connects and works on a PDA with TomTom 6, so the GPS itself is working. Selecting the "other GPS receiver" in TomTom never connects to the new receiver. The ipaq514 discovers the GPS receiver correctly. Any experience what to do?
