Default Frozen TT6 screen.... help!!

Hi

Have started a new thread as this is a different issue.

So i have now installed TT6 on my htc and for the first time got it to work. I needed an activation code and went through this with no problems. TT6 was working.

This morning I switched it on again and all I get is a TT black screen with red hands. I have tried reinstalling/reformatting my memory card and installing from scatch and each time the same.

The screen hangs the PDA and I have to reboot the PDA to get around it.

This is a fresh install from a TT6 memory card with proper activation. Why is this such hard work ?!!

Any help appreciated on this

Thanks David

Have you tried the Nav 6.3 update?
TomTom, portable GPS car navigation systems - Support home - Update January 2007 - TomTom NAVIGATOR 6 - Pocket PC

Might be an issue with your memory card do you have a different card you could try.

Hi

no i dont hane another card. I did a full reformat of the card, then a restore of my pda (htc4350) and reloaded tt6. It worked for 5 minutes - now it seems to enter the application in the middle and it seems to follow a scrambled route so its all messed up again. does this sound like a memory card problem or more worringly a pda problem?

Thanks

Is the memory card a legit one (either TT branded or Sandisk etc), or from some ebay seller?

If the latter, then yes it will be a card issue, as it's prob a fake.

I am using the latests updates as far as I know and the memory card is a 1Gb Kingston. it used to run TT5 and then it stopped (see earlier thread) so quite possible this is partly a memory card problem. Given low cost I am going to get a replacement memory card and try that. if that doesnt work then I will not be sure what to do next!

Cheers David
