Default TomTom Nav 5 s/w & HP IPAQ4100

Hi,

I purchased the above s/w bundle and GPS for my IPAQ a couple off years back and installed it onto the PDA - it worked totally fine, until about a year ago.

For some reason now the when I use enter the TomTOM program it does not pick up the TomTom GPS.

I have tested the GPS and my mobile phone can pick it up.

Any thoughts....?

Have you had to reload the software? You may need to re enter the GPS settings in tomtom so that it knows to look for the bluetooth GPS.

Have you check the bluetooth on the PDA is still working?

Hi Martin,

To answer your suggestions in order:

1) the Tom Tom software has been reloaded several times - its on an TomTom SD card.

2) The s/w ask you which type of GPS device (by visual graphics) you want to hook up to.

3) I have not yet tested the pda, but I do have two similar pdas of the model and I will test both ASAP.

4) I have been told by TomTOM tech support that the Nav 5 does not support HP IPAC 4100, but the thing worked perfectly well for over two - three years.

Regards
