Angry Bluetooth TomTom on a Palm T3

Hi
I have just bought a TomTom to go on my T3 and it works great.. most of the time. Twice now I have gone to start my return journey and my Palm and the GPS receiver have lost Bluetooth comms. The only way I can reconnect is to de-pair the two, do a soft reset on the palm and re-pair the receiver and the T3.
Anyone else come across this or have I got a duff receiver or T3?
Ta

Some times if you switch the T3 off before you have quit out of TomTom you will get this. I find that if I tap the HOME button first then I usually have no problems next time.

Make sure that you have the latest update installed because TomTom have updated the drivers.

I had the same problem and doing that works for me.

Alternatively, if that still doesn't work I find that if you disable bluetooth and then connect to tomtom, it asks you if it can enable bluetooth and then it will re-acquire the gps.

After a week on the road and trying Charlie's fix. TomTom has been perfect and no lost connections.
However I can't get the latest version to upload to it, I sometimes totaly disagree with it's suggested routes and I sometimes struggle to hear the alerts at high speeds. (Okay I do drive a ragtop)
Apart from the moans above would I be without it. NO. Well worth the money.

I run the updater and it looks like it does everything, but there are no files transfered to the Palm S/W to transfer on next hot sync. This is strange as the full screen mod worked fine. Any ideas?

Is it v4.40 you are trying to update?

Charlie

I am trying to upgrade to 4.40 and follow the instructions given.

When I check the version on my T3 it is still V4.10.

Looking at the hot sync log generated it shows that there is not enough room on the Tomtom SD card (128mb).

Do I need to get a new blank SD card and if so then how do I go about transfering the original SD card contents onto it (I have read a little about SD Card readers - but dont want to fork out if not necessary).

I have my original box/cdrom etc if thats any use

Many Thanks

Jason
