Default Cannot get wired TOMTOM GPS REceiver to work

I am trying to get a TOMTOM wired GPS receiver to work on my XDA2. Every time I run TOMTOM3 I get a popup to says "Cannot open COM1: port does not exist". I have tried re install of the TOMTOM SW and cold started the XDA2 but I still have the same problem. I have just purchased this receiver and lead for the XDA2. I get a flashing green light on the receiver and the XDA does charge. Ant advice would be greatly appreciated

Welcome to our forums.
You need to disable BEAM for it to work.
Tap on START --> SETTINGS --> CONNECTIONS --> BEAM then tap the box to remove the tick then try TomTom again.
