Testing TomTom

Before I go ahead and purchase TT3 for my Dell Axim, is there any evaluation software etc available that lets you hear how loud the directions are ? I really don't want to go and spend all that money only to find out you can't actually hear the directions when you are driving along ! The only demo I've found so far is for playing on a PC.

Surely other people must have had the same query ?

I don't want to check the maps/routes (I assume they work), it's just the sound level that I am concerned about - and, Yes, I drive a diesel so it needs to be fairly loud.

FWIW - I drive A land rover and have my TomTom volume (on a T3) set to only 35% - any more than I find it's just too loud!
