Default tom tom basic help

Couple of basic questions please.
1.I'm off to an old farm house for Christmas and was looking to impress my wife and leave the map at home. However, the address is pretty basic, (despite the written 'how to find us' instructions that were enclosed).
My problem is that the main town is Harrogate....village I'm looking for is Huby...and then the name of the farm and a post code. I can't see how I can get as far as inputting the farm or post code....how can I do this without an actual street address?
2 I've now ended up with loads of 'attempts' shown up in the 'Recent Locations' list....how on earth do I delete all the numerous entries shown?
3.And last, but probably not least, how do I add a route to the me 'favourite'
Thanks one and all.
Mike.

1) If you only have the postcode you could try the postcode search @ http://digitools.co.uk/ukpostcode.php .
2) I wouldn't worry as they will be overwritten as you plan more routes, there isn't a way to delete them anyway.
3) Switch to MAP view then tap the little magnifying glass icon on the lower toolbar. Tap ADDRESS then type in your destination and when you tap OK it will show it on the map and will pop up a box with options in it. One of the options is "Add to favourites".

Thanks ! So why do I get a variety of advanced warnings when approaching roundabouts ....300yds,500yards etc. etc. Is there anyway of defaulting it to one fixed warning ? Last night I hit this roundabout with 300yards to go...I was in the wrong lane and could have done with 800yards warning...any way around this ?

Essentially there's no way of changing the warnings...they should be regulated by the speed of the road you are travelling on.

Slowly but surely, I'm beginning to get the hang of it! Probably my fault, again, (playing around with it...my IPAQ/TT...last night.) but this morning, coming into the office I notice that I've 'lost' all the little green arrows that used to pop up at the 'next exit'...what have I done please? Also, should the road names be sort of, displayed as your also driving along...as they show you in the user guide that I downloaded...(Page 10) or do these only apply to TTGo?. I got no names at all!
While I'm still in the 'struggle' mode, can I ask you if I was right to assume that with the standard UK maps you also get a map of Europe which only show major routes ?The advertising seems to infer that's what you get, but I'm blowed if I can see it anywhere. Thanks again, Mike.

Should have asked a while ago but what version of TomTom are you using and on which PDA?

The latest TT3 (see, I'm getting the lingo,) together with an HP Ipaq 4150.
ps I found the European map by hunting around their on line user manual.

OK, run TomTom then tap on the screen to open the menu then tap MORE twice and tap on PROPERTIES then the ADVANCED tab. Scroll down to the last item in the Navigator Properties which should be Show schematic arrows and tick its box it it's not already. The road names are only displayed in the Palm version of the software (maybe the GO to but I forget).
