Default Total Tom Tom Failure!!!

Can anyone help?

I have recently purchased a HP iPAQ 2210 with TomTom3 cabled GPS and everything was working fine. However, a couple of days ago I placed it in the car holder and went to the start menu to start TomTom and it wasn't there? After many fruitless attempts to get it back it still haven't managed to.

I have done multiple soft resets and today did a hard reset - to no avail.

Tried reinstalling the software and the software file transfer just goes on and on and on, left it supposedly installing for 3 hours and eventually gave up the ghost.

Anyone with a miracle cure as I need my satnav to be working for xmas.

BTW - all other programs and activeSync work fine.

Thanks

KAM

Welcome to our forums.
Reboot your PC and try to install from the CD again, if it doesn't work then try it from another PC if possible. I've seen it install the way you've described but it's never happened to me so I've never found out what causes it.

Many thanks for your reply. Have managed to resolve the issue. Had to go into the PDA via PC explorer and delete all references to TomTom in all the PDA Folders as well as references in my PC (identified via search), then it loaded fine straight away.

Glad to hear it. Wonder what caused that?
