Default ipaq 4150 connection problems

Haven't used my bluetooth gps receiver for a while and notice that on try to connect it now I can't

I tried uninstalling the software and reinstalling then I have updated to 3.07 but I just cannot get anything on the GPS

I have paired the device with code 0000 which was fine

The GPS receiver is flashing fine and appears to be working fine.

On the GPS tab I have "TomTom Wireless GPS" and "Bluetooth Serial Port COM8:" selected.

Is there anything else I can try?

Try switching to Bluetooth COM 6.

I tried 6 and 8 as I wasn't sure which at the time....I think it might be this problem...

You need to charge the receiver fully after it's discharge and then turn it on and let it drain totally again. Then, when charging up the next time it should start to work again...
Is this a common problem and could it be this? I will try it out and see.....

It's not a common problem but you could try it.
Does the receiver power on at the moment? Blue flashing indicates Bluetooth transmission and blue light solid means connection with the PDA is established. Green light flashing means GPS signal being detected. Check the STATUS tab in GPS Status for the little dots moving around as this will confirm a connection between the PDA and receiver.

The green light wont stay on while you are inside as there is no signal being picked up. What about the STATUS tab?

Yeah I have checked the bluetooth with my phone and I can browse and dial up GPRS fine with that. I have also paired the GPS devices with it using "0000" key and it is listed as a pair device too.

I'm stuck (again), try calling TomTom on 0845 161 0009 for advice.
