Default HP 3715 and Tom Tom

Used to have an old Ipaq and Navman II jacket worked fine, This was stolen and now I have just got a 3715 and tomtom Blutooth 3. Should it be so slow that I could walk to glasgow from london before tom tom does anything. Bluetooth has paired with reciever, but launching TomTom is so slow I may be dead before I get to use it, everything grinds to a complete halt, it takes 5 - 10 minutes to show the navigation buttons on the screen, pressing the screen does nothing for minutes. I reset the device and it starts up, but as soon as I go into the tomtom app it stops.
Any ideas.

Welcome to our forums.
It should not be slow at all. Have you installed TomTom to the internal memory of the PDA or to a storage card?
