Tom Tom 3 various route's

This is a discussion on Tom Tom 3 various route's within the TomTom Navigator forums, part of the TomTom category; Can TOM TOM 3 be set for different directions for route's ??? i.e shortest, quickest etc etc.....

Can TOM TOM 3 be set for different directions for route's ??? i.e shortest, quickest etc etc..

Yes, in the PROPERTIES you can adjust the route calculation method. Also, after a route has been calculated you can go into the menu and select ALTERNATIVE ROUTES where you can select to avoid certain roads in the route.

Charlie are you sure about point one of your answer,as I have contaced Tomtom about this and they answered no.It's a feature I like with Navman

As sure as I can be whilst looking at it right now. In the ADVANCED section of the PROPERTIES page, scroll down to the ROUTE PLANNING part where you can enable/disable re-planning (to get you back on track after taking the wrong tuen) and you can select between NORMAL, FAST & STRICT calculation methods.

Sorry Charlie you've got me on this one,when you say preferences where do you mean.
I don't have mine with me today but I'v just down loaded the manual for TT3 and can find nothing
I am very keen in finding this option though.

PROPERTIES mate, in the TomTom menu..has a picture of a spanner. Aren't you using the Palm version cos I don't think you have the option on the Palm version, I don't have one here to check.
