Default TTN3 on Toshiba e330?

Help
I have just found you guys and I need some help.

I have just purchased wired GPS TomTom Navigator 3 car-kit for my Tosh e330 PDA.
As my PDA is a bit old I asked my supplier if it was compatible - they said they have not been able to get TTN3 to work on the e330 and I should return my kit.

Having seen some of the threads on here where people have had problems getting Toshibas to recognise the GPS unit - it would seem that it might just be a configuration issue that my supplier is not familiar with.

I really want to get this system up and running - has anyone successfully used it on a Tosh e330?

Howard

Welcome to our forums.
It's just not compatible according to TomTom. I would recommend you do as your reseller suggests as they may not accept it back if you keep hold of it any longer and can't get it working. So far I haven't seen anyone on here who has it working.

So howcome this site lists the e330 as being compatible with TTN3 in the product info?

Is there another system (ie: NavMan) that IS compatible?

Whoops, thanks for spotting that.
Better let the web guys know.

From TomToms site : E-400 , E-740 , E-740 BT , E-740 WiFi , E-750 BT , E-750 WiFi , E-800 BT , E-800 WiFi are the only models they list compatibility with.

I have a toshiba e335 and got it to work for a few days, intermitantly. It was undependable at best, and now it doesn't find the gps signal at all. Tomtom said they've had a lot of problems w/the toshibas, so I returned my car kit and am getting a dell axim x30 b/c tomtom said it would work well. Also, the axim x30 has a glove fit cradle instead of the Y cable, so it seems to be more compatible. I'll update when the items come in about 1 week from now.

After using gps for just a few days I am totally hooked. I considered returning the whole kit and going w/a pharos, b/c pharos says it's compatible w/toshiba, but the toshiba's old and I'm just going to upgrade. Hope it works. Does anyone else use a wired tomtom gps/software w/a dell axim x3/30/3i?
Steve

I replaced the toshiba w/a dell axim x30. My new tomtom car kit will arrive shortly. I have to install the tomtom navigator software to my new pda. Should I email tomtom and ask for a new activation code? Will I need to provide proof of purchase of the pda?
Thanks,
Steve

Is this your second PDA? If so you will be able to activate it again by following the same procedure as before...if you have already activated it twice then you will need to contact TomTom.

This is my second pda and it will be the second time I activate the software. If I activate it a 3rd time then I understand I must contact tomtom, correct?
Thanks Charlie,
Steve
