Question tom tom & spv m1000

I have just purchased a gps receiver ( leadtek 9532 ) and Tom Tom navigator
v 3 which i upgraded tp 3.07

i have a problem getting the program to see the gps receiver. in settings i change the com port to (com 1 - serial) but some times it says the com port dose not exist or unavailable.

i also don't know which gps receiver to select in the status section of tom tom software as leadtek isnt avaliable. I have been selecting a sirf 4800 or sirf 9600

i have downloaded the leadtek navigator utility program and can get that working. Tracking 8 sats wehey! but not with tom tom

so is there any one who can throw some light on it for me.

Welcome to our forums.
Select TomTom Wireless GPS and Blutooth Serial Port COM? (? being whatever port your PDA uses/offers).

Hi Tony
Make sure you have Disabled "Receive all incoming beams"
Go to START>SETTINGS>CONNECTIONS>BEAM and remove the tick in the box.

Regards AZ
