Default speed camrea software with out selecting a route

I have checkpoint 3.2 and Tom Tom 3 on my Xda ll, it all works fine but is there any way you can run the checkpoint software with having to put a route for Tom Tom 3 to follow.
As soon as I start Tom Tom 3 and it starts to program a route, what's the best way of just using checkpoint and Tom Tom 3 with out having to put in a
destination of the journey, you are just about to make.
Thanks for any help or info

Welcome to our forums.
I haven't tried it the way you want but I don't think it works like that, I'm sure you need to have a route calculated to be warned of them. Anyone else tried it this way?

I just let TomTom run in the Navigator screen (no route) and CheckPOInt 3.2 gives out the speed camera warning ok. Go to Map-tools-clear route to stop any route that is still running that you don't need

Surely you don't have to put in a route each time! I often run tom tom with checkpoint running aswell for speed camera but i don't have a route put in. If theres one stored in their from before just click to stop navigation and then there will be no route, it will then just give you warnings of speed cameras as they come up on the road you're travelling on at that time!
