tom tom activation code new device

Hi after busting my Mio168 and sending it back after the repair installed tom tom no problem but after busting it again and not being able to get it repaired i have purchased a new unit, but now when i install tom tom its asking me for an activation code but says the one i have is incorrect.
I have e-mailed tom tom but i was just wondering if anyone else had had a similar problemand more to the point an answer. will i get a new code or will i have to buy another copy of tom tom?

Had the same trouble when my iPAQ was stolen. Bought new HP 4700 and emailed TomTom with proof of purchase receipt as attachment and got new code in about 36 hours. No problem from TomTom

TomTom allow re-activation up to 7 days after first activation and then once every six months thereafter.
