tom tom 3 wired & mda III - help please !!!

i've just bought a new mda III an tom tom navigator 3, the tom tom 3 gps wired reciever and the proper holder for the car, that connects the gps reciever to the phone.

Does anyone know what setting it should be on in GPS connection ?

when i select com 1 with seriel it says "can not open port com1 not found"

if i put it to com 2, then it just locks up

any ideas ???

Welcome to our forums.
COM1 is correct but you must first disable incoming beams by tapping on START --> SETTINGS --> CONNECTIONS --> BEAM then untick the box.
This is because the infrared on the PDA uses COM1 as well.
