TOM TOM & IPAQ 1710 - NO GPS SIGNAL - HELP!

Hi

I have just bought a HP 1710 with wired Tom Tom GPS. Whenever I open the Tom Tom application the only message I ever get is no GPS signal! I have got a Peugeot 306 and have tried placing the receiver everywhere! The green light flashes on the receiver. Whenever I go to GPS Status or configure it says no GPS device.

Any ideas?

Have you tried putting the receiver near your rear view mirror?

I own a peugeot 307 and the windscreen is coated thus making it difficult to get a fix. This sorted the problem out for me.
