HP rz1710 tomtom

Hi,
i have already purchased the rz1710 tomtom navigator 3 kit from this site and just waiting for it to arrive now.

I was wondering, does this system work like some other sat nav systems where you can just put the gps system on and you can drive around and it will always show you where you are.

In other words, you can always see the map and your locations without having to actually enter a start point and destination for your journey.

Hi just to let you know this is what it cant
do if this is what you want then you decide as personally
i was going to buy this product too until i seen this, in answer to
your question i would say yes it does but doent do these things as
low internal memory. message it too short that is the reason for this
ason of the cut-down is the internal memory on a hp rz1710.
We do not have any updates to make features as traffic camera database and postal code possible.
The only reason why the 1710 navigation is a cut down version is because 1710 is a very
limited PDA and TomTom produced a version especially for 1710.

We have bought a Z1710 but not as a bundle. We thought we could run navigator 3 on it but it seems to lock the whole pda up. Can you tell me if it is possible to get the tomtom software that works on the 1710 seperately.

I'm afraid you can't. It's only available as part of the TomTom/HP bundle.
