Unhappy iPAQ 2210 TomTom3 Bluetooth Navman

For the last 2 years I have used TT2.2.4, my iPAQ2210 and Navman 4400 bluetooth GPS reciever with no problems.
I have recently upgraded to TT3.07 and now tomtom "drops out" of the navigator screen to the "bluetooth browser, select a bluetooth device screen" every 2 or 3 minutes. I have changed nothing else on my iPAQ.
I have looked on the TomTom website support pages and they say I need Navman drivers. I have emailed Navman support and they say bluetooth is bluetooth - the issue is with Tomtom.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Help is much apreciated.

System details:-
iPaq 2210 running windowsPocket PC 2003 with updated ROM v1.10.07
Navman 4400 bluetooth GPS reciever
TomTom Navigator v3.03 with v3.07 upgrade
TomTom GPS screen setings:-
Bluetooth serial port 8
NMEA 0183v2 bluetooth conection selected.

Welcome to our forums.
Get the latest ROM upgrade for your iPAQ from HPs website. It addresss an issue with the Bluetooth dropping out.

I have downloaded and installed SP27073 (which I believe to be the latest ROM update) but the problem still persists. More suggestions welcomed.

Change the settings in GPS Status to TomTom Wireless GPS & Bluetooth Serial Port COM8.

I have just tried the "tomtom wireless GPS" setting and unfortunately I still have the same problem - if anything navigator seems to react slower to the actual position on the road.
