i dont really know if the external antenna will help you there, what car are you driving atm? If your car has a heat reflective windscreen this can lower the performance of the GPS and make it very unreliable in some cases.

Hi, and thanks for the answer.

I am driving a Land Rover Freelander. I believe I need the external antenna since my car has tinted windows everywhere, including the windscreen.

Thanks,
Ilias

Cool

Are you sure that your car has not got a section on the windscreen that is not tinted / heat reflective. I know that the Puegeot 307's windscreen is coated but if you put the receiver near the rear view mirror, it works like a dream.

Worth a try?
