Tom Tom 5 + Checkpoint

Does anyone know whether Tom Tom Navigator 5 works OK with the Checkpoint software? I'm tempted to upgrade from TTN2, but a little worried that Tom Tom may have prevented Checkpoint from working as they are now marketing a competing product.

no mate it wont work with tt 5

They are writing the nav 5 version just now. Until then just download the speed camera database from pocket gps and enable your audible warning for the POI

hi yes it does work , just rename your map folder to the same as it was in tomtom 3 ie

new name is Great_Britain-Map
and rename to Great_Britain Navigator Map

run checkpoint and sync as usual ..

Well I have tried re-naming my map folder as stated and it still doesn't work. patient0 did you buy the upgrade or did you buy tomtom5? if the former then as I understand it you are only using the latest maps with tomtom 3 hence why it is working for you and not me.

wot are you trying to do with it , im on ttn5 and it syncs all my pois , which then i can set warnings for in ttn5 , it doesnt do the audible warning as it did before or run at the bottom of the screen , but why should it ??

as long as it updates my poi`s im happy tomtom does the rest ok ..
