Default TomTom Navigator 5 question...

This is my first TomTom package so bear with me! According to the box, and I quote: “Contact Navigation: Navigate directly from your PDA address book”

I don’t seem to be able to find the option to do this. I have read the online (CD) manual and it does not reference it. Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks.

Excellent! Yes it is the same. I was trying to find the option from the TomTom software, not the contact software. Cool.

Thanks.

Can one access the contact list from within tomtom?? I do not know how to minimize TT5 to get to contact list. Only way would be to close tomtom first then access and highlight contact (hold down stylus) to find an address, which automatically reopens tt5. Seems peculiar to have to close and reopen TT5 each time one enters a new address through contact list. I have TT5 with Dell Axim30 and bluetooth gps (global sat bt 338)

Thanks,

Larry

Exactly....another good point with TT3...being able to go back to the main menu.

Hi there all. I am running ttn5 on an RZ1710. Whilst navigator is running, all i do is press the contacts button on the front of the PDA and it goes straight into contacts. Tomtom does not close but just minimises. From there I can press which contact I want to navigate to and hey presto!!!!!

Hope this helps.

Thanks great suggestion--worked perfectly. AS a corollary question: Is there a way to minimize TT5 without having to hit a function key etc?

I don't think that there is a way to minimise it other than to at least tap one of the keys at the front of the PDA. It should work if you tap the today button as well tho and this way you can go to any program through the start menu.

I am using Pocket Informant 5 on my Ipaq H4355 with TT5. When I hold down the stylus on a contact, I do not get any TomTom options. Any ideas?
