TomTom Nav 5 and Checkpoint 3.2

This is a discussion on TomTom Nav 5 and Checkpoint 3.2 within the TomTom Navigator forums, part of the TomTom category; I have just installed the TT5 upgrade to my Dell Axim X5. Why can I not see the Checkpoint icon ...

Unhappy TomTom Nav 5 and Checkpoint 3.2

I have just installed the TT5 upgrade to my Dell Axim X5. Why can I not see the Checkpoint icon at the bottom of the screen?

Checkpoint was used with TT3 to launch the programme and also allowed me to sync/update the Checkpoint dbase from within TT3. As it stands I do not know how to change the config of Checkpoint or even how to sync it as I cannot access the icon from within TT5. The 30 & 10 sec speed camera warnings within Checkpoint are great and are better than the warnings now available within TT5.

Welcome to our forums.
Checkpoint so far is not compatible with TT5 which is why you cannot switch to it.

I agree Bluehagon.....it's a pretty pathetic upgrade when you're used to TT3, with Checkpoint.

Put your .ov2 & .bmp files fromthe speed camera database into the map folder on your SD card then set up the warnings through TT5s MAINTAIN POI option.

for your information

Hi all, i just thought i'd share it with all of you who are have some sort of POI problem!!!

CheckPoint have just released the NEW CheckPoint 5.0!!!! which is intended to integrate with Tomtom Navigator 5.

As most of you who have used the CheckPoint 3.2 will probably agree that its was a sound software to use with Tomtom Nav 3.

i Assume the new CheckPoint 5 will be the same with Tomtom Nav5

You can download the CheckPoint 5.0 from here:
http://checkpoint.oabsoftware.nl/

Pls note that CheckPoint say that this version of software is only compatible with Pocket PC 2002/Windows Mobile 2003 using ARM and XSCALE processors.

post me a reply if you find it useful or have any problems. i've downloaded it, will be loading it in the next few days
