Angry TTN5 'Avoid areas' on map - where has this feature gone ?

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how I select an area to avoid on the map ? In TTN3, I was able to drag a square onto the map to avoid that particualr area at all times, now I cannot.

This was an extremely useful feature in TTN3, so I cannot imagine for one second that TomTom would not include it in this new release... Am I missing something ?

Many thanks,

Dave.

You now have to use the FIND ALTERNATIVE option next to the NAVIGATE TO button after you have input your destination. It doesn't allow you to drag a square though just lets you avoid a part of the route by selecting it from a list of roads/places en route.

Yeah, thats what I thought, Thanks.

Real shame, because before, I could mark out a road that was always off limits, and it would always avoid it whenever I calculated any route there after... Why they would remove such a useful feature is beyond me ... I always thought a new version of software would IMPROVE on current functionality, not remove it.
