Unhappy Ipaq 5455 HGP-100 cradle. tomtom 5 no signal

Hi,

I have recently purchased an ipaq 5455 and a HGP-100 car cradle with added gps. I connect the ipaq set the gps to NMEA 0183v2 4800 on com1 yet tomtom always says no gps device connected. I have had it on for long enough for the gps to start flashing indicating a lock yet nothing shows on the ipaq. Going mad trying things.

Any help would be well appreciated

Cheers

Do you have any external keyboard drivers installed?
If the answer is yes then remove as they lock the com port

Turn off IR from start -> settings -> connections -> beam

Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me. The IR beam is disabled and I don't have any external keybord drivers loaded. As you say it appears that the port is locked up as the ipaq just dosen't even detect the device attached to it.

Regards
