Unhappy TTN 5 Installation

Hi

Got TTN5 today followed the instructions

Removed the maps for the card, left TTN 3 on my mitac 168, then installed the 1st CD then tried to install the maps CD, except all I got was a message saying :

NOT ENOUGH FREE SPACE ON TEMP FOLDER

CANNOT RUN SETUP

Both my main PC and laptop came up with the same message.

Can anybody help

Gareth

try formating the memory card if you can:

Download Flash format from http://www.cnetx.com/format/

Insert the memory card into the PDA and install the software onto the PDA and follow the instructions, make sure you have a working backup.

Lets run thru the basics, leave TTN 3 on PDA but delete the GB map from the storage card.

Install the TTN5 Disc ok, shows no maps once in.

Install Disc 1 of maps but get the same message, this says to me that its the temp folder on the pc thats the problem.

Anybody got some ideas to overcome this?

Ive searched my pc for temp folders etc and eptied them (hope i havent stuffed anything else up) still didnt help also tried it with another p.c. still no joy. Ive spoken to someone else that has already upgraded and i was doing the same as he did. Maybe its dodgy software as we both got them today??? Im out of ideas can i go back to TTN 3 for the time being ?????

Yes just wipe all programs of the pda and format the card then just install TTN 3 again.

I'm going to phone TOMTOM up tommorrow.

From what ive read about them tonight you'll have to ring first thing as they seem to be very busy.

Same thing happend to me, and recieved TTN 5 today! I would also think it's refering to folder on PC as I get same message when Pda is not connected. Tried emptying temp folders also no joy.
On the phone first thing.

Same thing happening to me, 1GB SD card no other programs running, computer big enough to land a space craft(!) but apparently still not enough space in the temp file to run the map setup. To save us all blocking the phone lines up together, please do let us know what TomTom's response is

Thanks
