Tomtom 5 wont recognize usa map

guys

Install fine will see my uk maps but not the US maps I have installed on an SD card.

Any ideas ?

Welcome to our forums.
As far as I know a USA map is not available for TT5 yet (unless I'm mistaken) which version of US map do you have?

Guys I have a full DVD of the USA maps, I have copied three of of the map folders onto my SD card, and have browsed them using Tomtom 5. On startup Tomtom 5 lists all the available maps including GB, If you selct one of the USA maps the screen is blank on start up, I assume that this is because I am in the wrong hemisphere under the wrong satellites, I will find out when I go over there next. However if you select to browse the selected map my favourite place Las vegas is there full streets and all.

I'm presuming that these maps are not from tomtom, but are compatible?

I would love to know how you got the USA maps as I will be going over there in a few months.
