Default TT5 signal problem

Good Morning Charlie. I've mentioned this before , but it's driving me nuts.
This morning..jump in car...turn on PPC...and select Navigate to Dartford Tunnel...and then wait, and wait ..... 'Waiting for valid GPS system' it says.Stop at convenient layby...do a soft reset...same thing. Go into .. preferences ,and scroll to 'Show GPS status', and hey presto, three or four bars are all showing a great signal....back to main page ...try again...navigate to the address I plugged in......nothing, but the 'waiting' message. After the second layby, give up and press on. All of a sudden, on the M23 it bursts into life...around an hour after I left home ! Now I never had this problem with TT3 and all I've done is carry out the upgrade as instructed. The Arkon holder is still on the screen...hasn't been moved. To be frank I think this morning was the worst, but it always takes at least, if I'm lucky. 2/3 minutes before it jumps into life.
One for the TT forum next Saturday maybe ?
Thanks, Mike.

ps I mean't to add, that I see that TT have done a licence deal with Navteq..... what does that mean...(another one for 'questions.)

To be honest I'm not sure what the problem is. There seem to be a lot of people having difficulties with the upgrade but unfortunatley we don't have it here to test out as we only sell the full retail packs of V5. Certainly add your Qs to the post for TomTom questions.

I appreciate the offer but I think we may need to purchase our own copy through TomTom for office use.
