Default TomTom 5 'lagging'

On my 3870 I upgraded from TT3 to TT5 and use TT GPS device from TT3. After a shortwhile the map lags behind where I am in the real world. It catches up when at a junction most of the time but then lags a shortwhile later. Sometimes it then drops out completly saying no GPS

As far as I can see I have the latest software and I have tried other GPS configs on TT5 with little or no joy. Have posted the problem to TT but no joy as yet.

The FAQs do not cover this.

Any thoughts?

Cheers

Yeah your PDA is listed as being compatabile so you should not get any problems but there are a few bugs with tomtom 5 atm. I would check your ROM version on the PDA to see if its up to date.

Default Mines lagging too

I have an IPAQ 3715 (with the latest ROM) and have installed TTN5, it worked perfectly with no lag regardless of speed.

BUT

I have now installed the latest set of speed camera pois from pocketgps and it is now lagging behind, as described by the OP.

I'm going to take off the pois and see if that helps, will report back.
