Angry Tom Tom 5 Crashing

Does anyone know why Tom Tom 5 crashes all the time in map mode. Ie God view. Everytime I zoom in and out of GB or move around the map it resets to the main start menu. Getting really bad now. HELP ?

I had the same problem.

I believe it is a problem with certain POI files not existing.

This is how I sorted it. Try to navigate to every POI you have, when you select certain ones it should reproduce the error, ie exiting back to windows. If that happens you want to make a list of all the POI's that do that then disable them.

My list of dodgy POI's are

beach
car dealer
car rental facility
car repair center
cash dispenser
college/university
company
golf course
mountain pass
mountain peak
nightlife
open parking
park and recreation center
parking garage
place of worship
rest area
restaurant
shopping center
stadium
tourist attraction
yaught basin

Hope this helps.

I have same problem. It defaults back to start screen after 1-3 minutes. Although it seemed to work well intially. What versions are you using and have you upgraded from v5 to 5.1, and did tis help?

I will try disabling the POIs. Did it work?

Thanks.
