Question Tom Tom 3-5 Upgrade

When trying to install the upgrade I am being told to remove data on my SD card to make enough space. As my SD card only contains TomTom info, I do not want to delete something that I still need?

If its a PDA follow:

1) connect your unit to your PC.
2) on the pc click on my computer, mobile device, my pocketpc, storage card, highlight and press delete.

If its a tomtom go

1) connect the tomtom go to your PC
2) click on my computer, removable storage and delete the contents of the memory card as above.

Thanks for that Steve. I have managed to upgrade the card,[on Pda]. However I am now getting a message saying there is no room on my card for the maps??. Is there anything else I can delte to make room.
It is tha same card that had my Nav 3 on.

Copy the great britain navigator folder from the card to your PC then delete it from the card and compelte the install....if anything goes wrong you can restore the folder from your PC.

Steve, Charlie,

I have managed to get my upgrade done, thank you.... However I appear to have lost my speed camera alerts, which I paid for as extras when I bought the original kit. Is there any way they can be retrieved, or are they lost forever?

If they are lost, you can get them for free at:

I have also just (last night) upgraded from 3 to 5 - eventually! I already had Checkpoint but lost it. Downloaded it again but cannot get the voice alerts to work. In the overlay screen there is no cross next to the "not synchronised" folder but the cameras etc are in my POI's and do work. I am currently using the Tom Tom warning sounds but does anyone know how to activate the voice alerts? DAC

Exclamation

Unfortunately, checkpoint will not work with TTN5 as yet. Tomtom have not released the SDK for TT5 yet and until they do, checkpoint will not be available. You can get different voice files for tomtom navigator. Just follow the link below:

Good luck
